Conversations

It is our belief that true spiritual and relational growth happens best in the form of a small group. Conversations are hosted in homes throughout the year providing an intimate and conversational environment where you can discuss, fellowship, grow and learn with others in our community.

Conversations FAQ

Will these groups ever move and change?
Yes. We believe in growing larger and smaller at the same time in order to keep each of the groups manageable and personal. Once a group grows beyond a manageable and personal size, a new Conversations group will be formed and planted out of the existing group.

Am I allowed to switch groups?
Yes. We realize that sometimes life gets in the way of you and your group. Your hours may have changed at work, or maybe your kids have ball practice on the night you have Conversations. Maybe you simply need a change of pace. In situations like this, we encourage you to find another group that more adequately fits your schedule and meets your needs.

Whatever reason you may have for switching groups, we do ask that you talk with your current facilitator about it. He/she may have some encouraging words for you, and it would help our facilitators’ peace-of-mind if they know your reasons for leaving.

None of the groups meet on a day that fits my schedule. Will there ever be a group that meets on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, or Saturday?
One of our goals is to have at least one Conversations group that meets every day of the week. We recognize this is a need and we hope to address it as we start multiplying the Conversations groups.

Will there ever be a group for folks who enjoy (insert name of hobby)? Will there ever be a group for 40-somethings? Singles? Widows? Moms? Truck-drivers? Puppies?
We currently have no plans to offer “niche” groups within our Conversations model. If you’re concerned that you won’t connect with anyone in one of the already active groups, we kindly ask that you take a chance and check one out. You’ll probably be surprised how much you have in common with other folks despite their age, walk of life, level of spirituality, etc. We think the diversity in our groups is a key component to great discussions, awesome friendships, and a strong network of support.

When is a good time to join a group?
ANYTIME is a good time to join! One of the awesome things about these groups is that we dig deeper into Pastor Chris’ message each week. If you were at church on Sunday (or you listened to the podcast) you’ll be on the same page as everybody else regardless of how long other folks have been in the group! Even if you missed the message, you’ll still be able to jump right into an open discussion that’s relevant to your life!

All of our groups have plenty of room to grow, so make a point to check ‘em out and get plugged-in. Feel free to email the facilitators with questions, and don’t be ashamed to visit a few groups to get an idea of the different “feel” each group provides.

Do you have a question or concern that wasn’t addressed in this FAQ? Then fill out this form and let us know what’s on your mind! All messages go directly to our Conversations Pastor, Wes Molebash!
